Adoption Info

We offer adoption for our hedgehogs as pets only!

If you have the intention of breeding, please be sure to do plenty of research, have the room and appropriate setups for the hedgehogs and of course be sure you know your ownership limits based on the state you live in. Anything more than that will require licensing through the USDA.

We accept payments through Credit or Debit, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal or cash. 

Checks and Cashier Checks are not accepted.

If you will be paying with a debit or credit card, there will be a 6% tax fee with your purchase. Deposits made on our website are taxed as well.

Deposits are available for currently available or upcoming hoglets. Deposits cover $50 of the entire adoption fee, they can be made through PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or cash. In person appointments are encouraged before placing a deposit.

Deposits are non refundable so be sure you’re ready for the commitment to your new companion!

 We also occasionally rehome rescues, pricing varies on age and temperament. There is no health guarantee for any rescued hedgehog, however they are seen by a professional for their safety before finding a new home.

If you, a friend or family member have previously adopted from us and are looking to adopt an additional baby, adoption will be reduced to $150 with all the same material that comes with normal adoption. Please be sure to reference that person when inquiring about adoption!

Pricing for rescues will stay the same.

Cages and supplies will be available at all times. Cage Dimensions: 30.3x18.5x16.5

This setup already includes a hideout area for your hedgie.

Our cages will include-

• 3lb bag of Rachael Ray Nutrish Chicken and Brown Rice Recipe Cat Food
• Paper bedding
• Ceramic food and water bowls

Our cages will not include a heat lamp, heated pad or a wheel. These materials will need to be added on separately to fit you exact needs. All of the cage’s contents are brand new. Please see pictures below.

For a full size hedgehog, we recommend a large single level rabbit cage or a 2 level critter nation cage. Any multi level cage should of course be safe and stable for your hedgehog, meaning the ramp must be easily accessible, whether climbing up or descending. 

Your cage must have a heat source, whether that be a heat lamp (60-100w suggested) or heat pad + thermometer. Temperature must be monitored often to ensure it doesn't fall above or below 72-80 degree fahrenheit or 23.8-30 degrees celsius.

We highly recommend spot cleaning your cage every day or every other day (cleaning only messy areas) to save on bedding and reduce smell. Cages should be cleaned out entirely once a week, or once every two weeks depending on the necessity. 

An exercise wheel is a must. This will keep your hedgehog happy and entertained at night while they're most active. Wheels must not have any holes or otherwise dangerous imperfections that can harm your hedgehog. No wire wheels. Please be sure to invest in larger wheel (12 inch), it is best to start bigger to save the headache of upgrading constantly, these guys grow fast! Remember, an active hedgehog is a healthy hedgehog!
